Sanjay Das aka. Philtersoup, is a Mumbai based electronic musician and producer.

Forging a portfolio as an engineer in Kolkata, he worked with bands like ‘The Supersonics’, ‘Ganesh Talkies’ & ‘Run! It’s the Kid’. In 2015 he moved to London to study Music Technology at the London College of Music and to explore other areas of interests in synthesis and new media. He returned to Mumbai in 2018 and has been working as a music producer on a number of shows for Netflix & Amazon and as a consultant for multimedia installations and projects.

His debut EP ‘Trilogy of Five’ was released in 2019 and tracks from it have been featured in the film Garbage and the Netflix Original Little Things.

About Decoherence:

After exploring a high energy neon cyberpunk world in 'Trilogy of Five' this is philterSoup’s foray into the quaint ambient landscape of 'Decoherence'.

This EP is a culmination of one take recordings performed on a modular synthesiser accompanied by a piano, in some cases.

Combining bespoke generative systems with live improvisation, Decoherence explores the interaction between an artist and a system and the exchange of ideas between them.
